Business Challenge
- The client had an older version of sun Solaris Java Composite Application Platform Suites. It was a standards-based Enterprise Service Bus called Java CAPS (version 5.11) to handle the Logistics integration.
- The environment was split into 16 domains with minimal memory configuration. Domains in the JCAPS Server frequently went down due to increase in Java heap size and due to the number of projects that were getting loaded
- Restarting the domains became cumbersome and was impacting the business. The environment also demanded weekly cleaning of JMS queues. Also trouble shooting the existing logs was a lengthy process.

- Migrated the Old sun Solaris to Linux Red Hat server to increase the performance of projects in JCAPS domains and unavailability of support
- Allocated more space for all domains configured in the new Server and recommended to maintain Dependent & independent projects in separate domains
- Provided the analysis based on the migration of a project deployed in JCAPS to IBM integration bus platform.
- Analyzed the equivalent communication setup configuration from JCAPS to IIB & the migration of trading partner configurations
- Analyzed the transaction frequency for each client to calculate the minimal downtime plan
- Analyzed the codes in the JCD’s & converted it to the IIB Message flows
- Converted the hardcoded values of the dynamic external database configuration for better consistency
- Advocated ESQL code on the IIB platform to avoid Java heap size issue
