The audience targeting feature has released by Microsoft for the Quick Links web part in SharePoint Online. Using this, we can promote links that are especially relevant to a particular group of people.
Points to Remember
- This feature is disabled on the web part by default
- To use audience targeting, we should first enable audience targeting on the web part from the property pane and then edit each quick link to specify the audience to target
- We can use AD groups or Microsoft 365 groups to target audiences. we can target a maximum of 50 audiences per link

Activate audience targeting
- Go to the modern SharePoint page and edit the page by clicking the Edit button from the top right corner
- Select the Quick links web part and click on the Edit button
- From the property pane, enable audience targeting to on state
Activate target audiences for each Quick Link
- From Page Edit mode, click on the link you want to edit and select the Edit
- Under Audiences to target, search for the group(s) you want to target
Once you publish the page, audience targeting will take effect.
Final Result
The SharePoint page will show Quick links based on targeted audiences. A user who is not a part of the audience targeted for the HR Support link will see the quick links web part as shown
